Information session for potential bidders on procurement of energy equipment for Ukraine
The Energy Community Secretariat is organizing an information session on the upcoming procurement of the equipment necessary to conduct emergency repairs of the Ukrainian energy system under the Energy Community Ukraine Energy Support Fund.
The session will provide information on the emergency equipment needed and explain the procurement process under the Ukraine Energy Support Fund.
The conference will be held virtually on 20 January 2023:
- For Ukrainian companies from 11:00 to 12:00 CET. Register now.
- For global market from 13:00 to 14:00 CET. Register now.
In order to channel equipment offered by different suppliers, the Secretariat has set up a vendor’s questionnaire on its website. Prospective suppliers whose offer matches certain types of equipment are invited to express their interest by filling out the questionnaire.
The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine approved support requests by 30 energy companies under the Ukraine Energy Support Fund for the procurement of essential energy equipment at an estimated value of over EUR 107 million. The Ministry’s decision triggered the procurement procedure for the requested items, including power transformers, fuels, valves, pumps, pipes, oil transformers, surge arresters, batteries, disconnectors, wires, insulators and circuit breakers.
On the Fund: the Energy Community Secretariat acts as the fiduciary of the Ukraine Energy Support Fund, which was established to purchase fuels, equipment, services and capital needed to repair and rebuild energy infrastructure affected by the ongoing Russian aggression. The funds will be disbursed on the basis of a fiduciary agreement between the Secretariat and the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine which is responsible for identifying, prioritizing and confirming support requests delivered by Ukrainian energy companies.
