Short description of the overall project

Goal of the project is to support Serbian operators dealing with hazardous materials using state-of-the-art digital transformation tools. The solution is the intellectual product of Profes Ltd., which supports the introduction and development of a Safety Management System in the relevant industrial plants. The SEVESO REC software supports Serbian industrial plants dealing with hazardous materials in safety planning, checking the operation conditions, and providing effective support for the monitoring of corrective measures in case of deviations. Serbia is currently actively working on the implementation of the Seveso III Directive, which is part of a comprehensive process of EU harmonization thus a wide range of companies will have to apply  safety management systems. The largest companies are already obliged to operate per EU regulations. Corporate support of security efforts, continuous monitoring, and development require constant human resources.

Short description of activities financed by the donation

Project goal is to introduce SEVESO REC solution in the region that measurably supports industrial companies in complying with EU regulations, avoiding serious industrial accidents, and reducing its impact. In the first phase of the project, the software's adaptation to local conditions is planned (processing of national regulations, translation). This is followed by a pilot project at a Serbian industrial company (1.5 months pilot; 0.5 months feedback). Building on this action experience, they will organize workshops (3 occasions) to introduce the professional challenge, the proposed solution, and the methodology (2 months of raising awareness, intensive knowledge transfer). Following the workshops, participants will receive free software user rights for a period of one year, creating the basis for effective market presence (6 months).
