Short description of the overall project

The project will support the Ministry of Mining and Energy in implementation of Energy Labelling Directive (ELD) and Eco-design Directive by establishing and strengthening of capacities of the conformity assessment bodies.

Short description of activities financed by  the donation

In particular the Consultant will:

• Perform a market survey of energy related product groups covered by ELD and Eco-design Directives and of potential ELD and Eco-design conformity assessment bodies.
• Increase capacity of selected conformity assessment bodies and market inspection body through training and assistance.
• Sample and test selected products in line with Energy Labelling Directive (ELD) and Eco-design Directive.
• Implement awareness campaign on energy efficiency benefits and increase visibility of labelling and marking the energy related products through printing materials, workshops, filming and broadcasting.
