Short description of the overall project

A new building complex demonstrating an energy-efficient, resource-saving building concept using modern, environmentally friendly technologies has been planned, executed and put into operation. This concept is being rolled out on a broad basis throughout Ukraine’s construction sector.

The project is planned to support the Ministry for Regional Development, Construction and Municipal Services of Ukraine in order to improve the energy efficiency of Sichiv district of Lviv.

Short description of activities financed by the donation

The project’s support is planned to be provided via five main components:

• Selection of OSBB in Lviv’s district Sichiv
• Implementation of energy efficiency measures in the selected residential area
• Development of a comprehensive model for energy efficient heat supply and usage
• Dissemination of the experiences gained from the rehabilitation of the district heating in Lviv
• Connected to the EEF
