Short description of the overall project

The overall objective of this action is to contribute to a better life quality of citizens through improvement of the environmental status in the Republic of Serbia.

The specific objective of the action is to improve waste management system, water and air quality through upgrading of waste, water and waste water infrastructures, by establishment an adequate air and water quality monitoring system as well as by strengthening the capacities of institutions to manage environmental investment.

Short description of activities financed by the donation

The expected results are:

• Result 1.1: Capacities for management of environmental protection improved;
• Result 1.2. Water and wastewater management system improved;
• Result 1.3. Waste management capacity improved in Novi Sad;
• Result 2. Implementation of pilot measures for environmental policy and climate change.
