Short description of the overall project

EUR 5 million loan to be provided by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to Banka OTP Albania for on-lending to borrowers with green investment plans for their homes. According to the EBRD, investments in residential buildings “will cut energy bills and reduce CO2 emissions”. The funds are part of the

EBRD’s Green Economy Financing Facility (GEFF) in Albania.

The EUR 1 million grant support for the preparation and implementation of the projects is funded by Austria. Successful projects are eligible for a cash-back payment of up to 20% of the investment value. This incentive is funded by the European Union (EU) which provided a total of EUR 1 million in grants.
