The September update for the Ukraine Energy Support Fund (UESF) reports EUR 23.86 million in additional funds, provided by the United Kingdom. These funds enabled purchases of essential equipment worth EUR 11.34 million across Ukraine’s energy sectors, including critical items like transformers, special purpose vehicles, and switchgear. Notably, 49% of these purchases support the electricity transmission sector.

Since its inception, the UESF has raised EUR 768 million, with EUR 240 million dedicated to winterisation projects. This rapid response mechanism continues to be vital in addressing Ukraine's urgent energy infrastructure needs.

The Ukraine Energy Support Fund (UESF) is an initiative launched in 2022 by the European Commission and administered by the Energy Community Secretariat. It operates in close cooperation with the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy, which identifies the sector’s most urgent needs as the conflict evolves.

The Fund provides financial and technical assistance to restore and strengthen Ukraine's energy infrastructure, focusing on the sectors most affected by Russian attacks. The Secretariat ensures efficient coordination and distribution of resources to meet the immediate and long-term energy needs of the country.
