The Ukrainian Energy Support Fund
Established in collaboration with the European Commission and the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, the UESF was created to mitigate the impact of Russian attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. The Fund, operated by the Energy Community Secretariat in Vienna, Austria, is the most effective channel for international financial support aimed at restoring Ukraine’s energy sector. With over 9 GW of capacity lost due to targeted attacks, swift action is critical to keep Ukraine’s energy system functional, but rising energy needs require us to double our efforts by the end of the year.
With €629 million already pledged to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund (UESF), Ukraine continues to prepare for a challenging winter amidst ongoing threats to its energy infrastructure.
