Ukraine Energy Support Fund reports on progress in Q3 of 2023

The Ukraine Energy Support Fund is pleased to announce great developments in the third quarter of 2023. At the end of this period, the Fund recorded a total value of EUR 192 million credited to its fiduciary account and pledges exceeding EUR 218 million. Furthermore, in the reporting period, 53 Purchase Agreements valued at EUR 37.8 million have  been concluded under the Fund.

The funds have predominantly been allocated to electricity distribution companies and combined heat and power generators, strengthening the energy infrastructure in Ukraine. Key procured equipment includes transformers, shunt reactors, turbines, vehicles, disconnectors, switches, and various other equipment and devices.

These procurements play a vital role in ensuring the stability and optimal functioning of Ukraine's energy infrastructure, supporting the energy sector in Ukraine. The Energy Community Secretariat is grateful to all the donors for their generous contributions and their commitment to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund. These items will further strengthen the energy infrastructure in Ukraine and ensure its sustainability for years to come.

The Ukraine Energy Support Fund was established with the objective of providing financial assistance to repair Ukraine’s critical energy infrastructure damaged by Russian attacks and ensuring the continued functionality of the energy sector. It is managed by the Energy Community Secretariat, with contributions from governments, international organizations, and corporate donors.
