USTF completes 100th delivery, providing over 5 000 tons of aid to Ukraine

The Energy Community Secretariat's Ukraine Support Task Force (ECS-USTF) proudly announces the completion of its 100th deliveries, totalling to over 5 000 tons of equipment and liquids delivered to Ukraine. This achievement highlights the immense work, communication, and dedication involved in aiding Ukraine's energy and water heating systems.

In early 2022, the USTF received its initial contributions from Denmark, Poland, and France, three of the 22 countries that have since contributed to Ukraine's energy sector. As of October 2023, the ECS-USTF, in cooperation with the European Commission`s Emergency Response Coordination Centre (ERCC) of DG ECHO has assisted a cumulative total of 5 000 tons of energy-related humanitarian aid through 100 shipments.

The equipment delivered, directly helps the infrastructure operator companies to repair damages, and ensure the life support services to the Ukrainian families and the economy. The type of goods delivered to Ukraine with the assistance of ECS-USTF, among others consists of power transformers, cables, various high voltage equipment, communication devices, generators, vehicles, methanol, IT equipment and tools for the repair and rebuilding of the energy sector as well as boilers, pumps, pipes etc for district heating and water supply.

The Ukraine Support Task Force plays a pivotal role in Ukraine's recovery by coordinating the delivery of specialized energy equipment, fuels and materials needed to repair infrastructure damaged during the war, with the main purpose of assisting Ukraine in keeping its energy system functional.
