Director Lorkowski Meets Ukrainian Energy Minister for Strategic Talks

During his visit to Kyiv, Artur Lorkowski, Director of the Energy Community Secretariat met  with Minister of Energy Galushchenko and Deputy Minister of Energy Hrynchuk to discuss Ukraine's commitment to the Energy Community on 23 October 2023.

In their discussions, the officials emphasized the status of transposition and the implementation of Ukraine's obligations pertaining to the Energy Community. It was agreed that the implementation of the Clean Energy Package must be expedited and as a cornerstone in Ukraine’s path to sustainable energy supply.

Director Lorkowski highlighted Ukraine's involvement in the EU4Energy project implemented by the Energy Community, which aims at assisting Ukraine to fully transpose the Clean Energy Package provisions.

Special attention was also dedicated to the activities of the Ukraine Energy Support Fund. The meeting served as an avenue for the participants to identify priority measures for the Fund's successful implementation. They mapped out next steps to reinforce and expand assistance to Ukrainian energy companies within the framework of the Fund.
