The Secretariat and TNC sign an MoU on permit-granting processes for renewable energy projects within the Energy Community 

Today, in Vienna, the Energy Community Secretariat and The Nature Conservancy (TNC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), representing a significant step forward in promoting sustainable energy practices within the Energy Community.

The MOU establishes collaboration between the Energy Community Secretariat and The Nature Conservancy (TNC) with the aim of streamlining the planning and permit-granting processes for renewable energy projects within the Energy Community. The MOU is driven by the Energy Community Treaty acquis, which mandates Contracting Parties to create a framework ensuring sustainability principles in the development of energy projects, plans, and programs, with a specific focus on utilizing renewable energy sources.

Under the provisions of the MOU, the strategic partnership reflects a commitment to advancing sustainable energy practices within the Energy Community region.
