Ukraine Energy Support Fund secures delivery of advanced equipment to enhance Gas TSO's operational capabilities
The Ukraine Energy Support Fund, managed by the Energy Community Secretariat, has financed delivery of advanced equipment worth EUR 7.580.900 to Gas TSO of Ukraine (GTSOU) for the restoration of damaged and de-occupied facilities. This delivery of equipment represents a crucial step in strengthening GTSOU's operational capabilities and ensuring the security of Ukraine's energy infrastructure.
A significant milestone has been achieved with the recent agreement between GTSOU and the Polish supplier, "cGAS controls Sp. Z o.o.", as part of the ongoing efforts of the Ukraine Energy Support Fund. Following a rigorous and independent procurement procedure, cGAS controls Sp. Z o.o. has been selected to provide the necessary expertise in supplying, supervising the installation, and commissioning of the new equipment.
Under the terms of the contract, GTSOU will receive five automatic gas distribution stations (AGDS) with an impressive capacity of 5,000 m3/h. These AGDSs, sourced from leading European manufacturers, will play a vital role in the restoration of damaged gas transportation facilities, particularly in the eastern and southern regions of Ukraine. In addition, their advanced automation features will significantly improve the efficiency and safety of GTSOU's operations.
Expressing his gratitude, Dmytro Lyppa, the CEO of GTSOU, acknowledged the invaluable support received from the Fund in ensuring uninterrupted operation of the gas transportation system during wartime conditions. He emphasized the significance of the new equipment in preparing for the upcoming heating season and securing the gas supply in areas affected by shelling.
The Ukraine Energy Support Fund was established to provide financial support for repairing critical energy infrastructure damaged by Russian attacks and to keep the energy sector functioning. It is managed by the Energy Community Secretariat with significant contributions from governments, international organizations, and corporate donors.
