Secretariat facilitates donor coordination on energy efficiency and climate
Nine leading donor and international financial organizations gathered yesterday at a meeting hosted by the Secretariat to discuss the technical assistance and capacity building needs of the Contracting Parties and how they can best be matched with donor programmes. Support for the implementation of the Clean Energy Package and the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans were identified as priority areas. Participants welcomed the Secretariat’s Donor Coordination Platform, featuring over 200 projects, as a useful tool for improving the effectiveness and ensuring synergies in donor support in the Energy Community Contracting Parties.
Launched in 2018, the interactive Donor Coordination Platform features projects across thirteen policy areas such as energy efficiency, renewables and climate change as well as security of supply, infrastructure and cybersecurity. Users can search the regularly updated project database by filtering by beneficiary, scope, category, donor and status. The platform is accessible to everyone via the link below.
