Secretariat welcomes unbundling of Albania’s distribution system operator

Today, the Secretariat published a compliance note assessing the compliance of the Albanian distribution system operator (DSO) with the unbundling requirements of the Electricity Directive 2009/72/EC.

The Secretariat took note of the progress the DSO Operatorii Shpërndarjes (OSSH) has achieved in ensuring legal, accounting and functional unbundling. Despite the achievements made, unbundling of the DSO remains work in process and should be monitored continuously by the Energy Regulatory Entity (ERE).
