Visit the Energy Community’s legislative observatory with more than 800 national legal documents

12 June 2020

The legislative observatory of national secondary legislation has been updated to cover the latest legislative changes in all Contracting Parties.  The observatory now includes secondary gas and electricity legislation for all eight Contracting Parties that have transposed the Third Energy Package and lists all national bodies involved in the drafting and adoption of the legal acts. For the first time, it also covers climate change. In total, more than 800 secondary legal acts and other national documents have been assessed by the Secretariat.

The observatory, launched back in April 2018, displays the key obligations required by Energy Community directives and regulations, the corresponding reference to the national legal act transposing that key provision and also points to cases of non-compliance if the provision is not in line with the acquis.

The tool aims at increasing transparency and providing investors, international financial organizations, civil society and other stakeholders more detailed information about the state of compliance in each Contracting Party.
