Energy Community Advisory Committee amends its Rules of Procedure

The Advisory Committee has amended its Rules of Procedure by introducing a possibility to carry out public hearings as remote video proceedings under exceptional circumstances such as the current pandemic. This will enable parties to a dispute settlement case to present their arguments in front of the Advisory Committee as well as interested members of the public to participate remotely.

According to the Dispute Settlement Rules of 2015, before the Ministerial Council takes a decision, the Advisory Committee is asked for its opinion on the Secretariat's Reasoned Request. Before giving its opinion, the Advisory Committee conducts a public hearing.
