ACER and the Energy Community Secretariat are finalising studies and white papers on different aspects of hydrogen utilisation, regulation and potentials in the Contracting Parties. The two institutions have joined forces and now organise a series of three webinars (25 February 14:00-15:55; 4 March 14:00-15:30; 10 March 14:-15:30) to present the recent findings and to discuss the hydrogen future.
The webinars address and seek answers to questions such as:
- Can hydrogen be produced and supplied in a sustainable way as a substitute for fossil fuels?
- What technologies have the best potential to enable the efficient supply and use of hydrogen across the various sectors of the economy?
- What market and regulatory approaches could ensure that the uptake of sustainable hydrogen takes place at a rate that could realistically help efforts to phase out fossil fuels in line with the efforts to reach carbon neutrality by 2050? How can consumers benefit from the increased availability and use of hydrogen?
- Where do the Contracting Parties have an opportunity to join a pan-European hydrogen market?
- In which sectors is it realistically possible to develop a hydrogen future in the Contracting Parties?
