Energy Community Regulatory Board Work Programme 2020: ECRB to extend international regulatory cooperation under direction of new President

5 December 2019

At its meeting on 4 December 2019 in Athens, the Energy Community Regulatory Board (ECRB) adopted its work programme for 2020. Among others, it foresees the further strengthening of international cooperation with MEDREG and CEER regulators based on a Cooperation Arrangement signed by the three regional regulatory institutions in December 2018. In this context, ECRB welcomed the involvement of the Energy Regulatory Agency of Azerbaijan in ECRB, which participated in Plenary discussions for the first time. It was also agreed to further tighten cooperation with the gas regulatory authority of Egypt.

The implementation of the work programme will be overseen by the ECRB’s new President, Mr Marko Bislimoski, President of the national regulatory authority of North Macedonia. He was elected for a two-year term, 2020-2021.
