The Energy Community cycling duo arrived safely in Kraków on Thursday at 13:05pm after a 460-kilometre journey through Austria, Slovakia and Poland accomplished in three and a half days. Each cyclist saved 120.3 kgs of CO2 emissions compared to going by plane. The journey was closely followed on Facebook by the 40 participants of the Energy Community Summer School who gave the cyclists a warm welcome upon arrival.
The ambitious action was aimed at underscoring the importance of decarbonisation by reducing the carbon footprint of the fourth Energy Community Summer School event this year and inspiring the next generation of energy leaders to take an active role in the energy transition.
