Public Consultations

The Secretariat regularly seeks views of the public on matters affecting them. In holding a public consultation, the Secretariat aims to improve the efficiency, transparency and stakeholder engagement in the design of future legislation, policy guidelines or large-scale projects. All of the Secretariat's public consultations are conducted online.

Depending on the choice of the respondents, the contributions received will be published in this section of the Energy Community website. All the questionnaires contain a mandatory disclosure question. The respondents have the choice - they can remain anonymous or disclose one's contact details.

    Objective
    To ensure that all views are considered in the design of future legislation, the Secretariat opened a public consultation to give all interested stakeholders the opportunity to share their views and experiences in the field of fuel quality. The public consultation sought views on the Concept paper on implementation of Fuel Quality Directive 98/70/EC.

    Public consultation on draft Policy Guideline on Integration of Renewables self-consumers

    Objective
    In 2018, a legally binding framework for self-consumption was adopted in the European Union (EU) as part of the so-called Clean Energy for all Europeans Package (CEP). Among other things, the CEP promotes the role of final customers in the energy transition. The objective of this online public consultation was to seek views on the draft Policy Guidelines on integration of renewables self-consumers.
